As much as I love bike friendly architecture, I feel like two „rails” would achieve the same while not taking as much space.
I don’t know how busy is that staircase, maybe space is not a problem

Many pedestrian overpasses i’ve seen in Japan has some form of this. I hate them because I’m not riding and it’s stairs lol
