  2. Originally wanted an AllCity(rip) or Surly, heard about Wilde from my LBS (Free Range Cycles in Seattle!) and loved their [vibe](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4hyzkJGONA).

I wanted the [Earth Ship](https://www.wildebikes.com/collections/bikes/products/earth-ship-steel-frameset) but after chatting w/ Jeff Frane (Great dude, call him with questions!), we decided the [Rambler SL](https://www.wildebikes.com/products/rambler-sl?variant=43581331898546) was closer to my budget (4K). It’s essentially the same geo, just made in Taiwan.

I went with GRX 2×12 & my LBS threw on some [Rene Herse Snoqualmie 44’s](https://www.renehersecycles.com/shop/components/tires/700c/700cx44-snoqualmie-pass/) since most of my time is paved 😅. Other than fenders & a power meter, this bike was good to go. Absolutely love it!
