Giant for first bike?

Looking to get my first bike
I already ride dirt bikes but want to start trailing as I enjoy it a lot

Have done it before just never got INTO it. Not a complete noob and somewhat an adrenaline junkie

My buddy that rides a lot told me to get a Giant however I’m not looking to spend TOO TOO much. Was told to make sure it had front and rear suspension

Would a Giant Trance x 3 be a good option for a first bike? Any recommendations ? I don’t want to spend more than about $2000-2500
