Btw this is the second fixed gear bike I’ve owned, previously I got a really cheap Alu frame from AliExpress. Been thinking of selling this frame to get the “suppleness” of a steel one. Personally don’t like the new dosnoventas so probably would go with something different, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Overpriced and over rated imo
Your Dosnoventa was made in Spain, right? Seemed like a really cool company. Since then I’m pretty sure they sold out and are now made in Taiwan like most other bikes, however they kept the price of locally made handcrafted bikes. The brand now is as “trendy” as it gets. The brand back then was setting trends.

Ppl hate too much on the old dosnoventas because their new ones are just fashion bikes. Can’t forget that the old ones were actually decent street frames.

The entire fixed gear market is down from the past 5 years. It used to be the Engine11, Dosnoventa, and these “street”, chic brands were people’s dream bikes, but now it’s a bit tacky. Like Gucci or Supreme. There’s a crazy E11 build sold on FB marketplace near me for $600 and no one is biting. The same build would’ve been snatched up for $1000 easy 3 years ago.

Technically nothing wrong with the frame as far as i know. i think people usually just had issues with the bikes being built with cheap parts, and being very overpriced, but considering it looks like you have no stock components, then the frame is good. I ride steel only, and even then i’d say hold off selling. just enjoy what you got now
When they made in Italy were pretty dope. I still have the Helsinki with Oslo paint I built into an SSCX. Some days it’s the most fun bike I own to rip
I really wanted a Specialized trispoke for the longest time and then one popped up half an hour away for $200 so I jumped on it. And it was rad to look at and super cool but it didn’t make riding any better than my standard Mavic Ellipse wheel. So the “coolness” wore off for me as soon as I started riding. I realized the “fixie point” stuff wasn’t really worth the cost at that point. I still get the itch to replace my Andel Pro cranks with some Omniums but it’s the same thing. I should spend the money on therapy to understand why I care about the little logo on some cranks.
I feel the same about boutique frames like Dosnoventa. They are super cool and pretty but I’m not fast enough or doing the kind of riding that warrants that level of frame. My fuji works fine. If I need better performance, I should jet get a Kilo.
That said, if a LOOK 364 pops up in my area, I’ll spend regrettable amounts of money to attain it
