My main bike for the last decade has been a Masi Soulville 7 spd. It works great on the easy gravel trails & park paths I normally ride. Lately my 11 yr old has been getting me onto some trails with a more elevation change & mixed surfaces. I always lean retro so I got this ‘98 Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo off Craigslist after falling in love with the color. I’m hoping to build something a little more capable on the trail, but still comfortable & most importantly rad looking. Please help me finish this bike. I need tires & pedals. I left the cables long because I’m still trying several bar/stem combos.
I like the MKS bear traps in blue ano
I love Billy Bonkers, but just can’t
I’m wondering how the Panaracer fire XC with blue sidewall would do on packed gravel roads cause they look awesome, but may be too much blue.
Also wondering what is the fattest tire that will fit, in case anyone knows.

  1. I have the same! I’m running 2.125″ tires and there’s still some room. Very hard to match any other green parts to the frame!

I have Schwalbe Big Bens measuring 2.15″ on this bike and they fit fine. I have them in the brown color, they look a little silly.

  3. I have a real similar frame in yellow. Parted it out for a gt build I had going tho so the frame just sits outside

I like the RaceFace Chester pedals I put on my trail bike. You can probably match your grip color too.
