conferences covering everything Tottenham [Music] and welcome back to the channel hope you’re all keeping well so back from Australia I’m back in the sunshine and back at the Tottenham hbur Stadium today as the under 21’s take on sundland under 21s in the Premier League 2 playoff final so everyone is ask ask in the question why on Earth are the teams playing in these playoffs well it is simply um the fact that they have changed the rules and it is a new format for Premier League 2 now in previous Seasons if you finish top of the division it means that you were crowned Champions not this year so how it has worked this season um there were 26 teams in the Premier League 2 table but only the first 16 qualified for the playoffs so it meant that because Spurs finished top of the league they played 16th second place played 15th third place played 14th and so on um Tottenham hsur have played three games of course to get to this final sundland have also played three games to get to the final Spurs have beat Aston Villa Liverpool and Chelsea so far uh scoring 16 goals in those three games and sundland have played wolves West Ham and reading in their three games scoring a total of 18 goals so in the games concerning Spurs and sundland so far 34 goals have been scored in those six games um the teams actually met earlier this season as well in the Premier League 2 competition uh sundland away so it was Sunderland v Spurs in October Spurs won the game 4-2 so what I’m getting at is there should be a lot of goals in today’s match now the development side have been on fire this year and Wayne Bernett and his coaching staff have done an absolutely fantastic job it will be interesting to see today whether some of the development players are back from Australia and they will go straight back into the under 21 Squad I hope they do um you know players like Jamie donnley tyes Hall um Santiago of course they were all in uh Melbourne Australia uh but the player to look out for or
