Has anyone had something like this happen to them? I got my outlet Canyon Grizl yesterday and when I unboxed it, the thumb shifter just fell off. If you look closely at the pics it looks like the previous owner tried to glue it together.
Can this be fixed by getting just the thumb shifter replaced or do I need a new shifter?
I wrote to support yesterday, but it’s been over 24h without any response…

Support takes forever to respond, that’s normal don’t worry. They’ll definitely have it fixed if you want to keep the bike, or you can return it.
If you want to go the repair route it’s probably going to be faster to just take the bike straight to a canyon approved bike shop and they’ll take care of the communication with Canyon. Customer Support is just going to reply to your message in a week and tell you to take the bike into a shop anyways so no need to wait for them.
Unfortunately, this kind of thing isn’t uncommon for Canyon – their QC is not good at all.
