what happened in that period when Sir Alex left I think firstly we were losing the core of the team really I think um gigsy and Rio viage they were all on the last legs basically and so we were losing that pres in the dress room then it was there was literally me and Michael carck left still playing and from that generation and then you you’re getting the likes of Jesse lingard coming through and wellber cleverly which had good careers but it was never the same and football was changing Behavior plays of course everything was changing around football and I always remember after the liol game when we got beaten Lads are coming in dancing the next day around the dress room with the hip-hop music on I remember taking the music out with him you could try and control as much as as possible but was that the Jess lingard clip that was on social media that was another one after I listen to you so but you look at it you just think it’s it’s he wasn’t the [Music] same

As someone who doesn't follow football properly anymore, but whom followed the millennium era intently, how would you describe to me what Rooney means when he says football has changed…. Seems like that was a broader comment on the game, not just a slam on the antics in the locker room there.
How Sir Alex won the league in that last season with the team they had then was amazing. As Rooney says it was an ageing team and the youngsters coming through probably weren't at the level required to carry the club by themselves. Without Fergie there to build the next team it was always going to be an incredibly hard task. I think only Pep could've delivered sustainable success like he has at City.
Saddening
I'll manage the club, if there's crap they won't play. No nonsense. I'd rather have 11 disciplined players playing than 11 world class players with distractions. You wanted to become a professional footballer to play football
Manus downfall is methaporic for every society failing. Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, weak men create hard times…I think Manu is stuck in the middle of this process. You need guys working their asses off and no garnachos hair dresser
I hope Rooney comes back to coaching. I support Arsenal but Rooney is one of the greatest players of his generation. One day I hope he's one of the best coaches of his generation.
Thats is why CR7 got out when he came back. Man U if the old generation is gone. Now what a shit players.
Lingard and pogba ones playing Sunday league and the other a Drug taker. But on a brighter note they can still impersonate Michael Jackson.
Simple: You mean make it English again. Like the country.
Fletcher was there and he was a big big leader in that side
The kids took over the kindergarten!!
Money is what he should've said
That's not a generational issue, Lingard is just a muppet.
I think the signing of martial was the beginning of the end for man utd. Then came pogba, and the rest is history.
Rooney just summed up why we are the club we are now compared to how we use to be breaks my heart man
Jesse lingard the little dosser
Fact is sir Alex realised United was a sinking ship and he decided to get out of there as soon as he could. He knew the next generation was nowhere near the level of what he had at his disposal. He’s a smart man through and through
Lingaard was the ultimate loser. The boy who never became a man.
Nani is the biggest example
He was the next Cristiano. But lack of quality guidance that Cristiano got was missing
We should have thrown players like jesse, pogba and all way before..
Youth is important but you need older players with the ultimate winning mentality and discipline
.an of words usual suspects
Should have kept the leader's on the bench and leading from the background, I'm sure they would have minded 10 minutes here and there to help rebuild the team, that's what real leaders are for.
Mentality was the thing Sir Alex taught them. You can be talented but without the mentality you’ll never be the greatest. I hope Ten Hag delivers because I can feel he has that Aura to manage United, one of the hardest job in the world!
I remember saving us during those FA Cup runs. If only he took the game serious.
Giggsy's brother's wife was on her last legs đź’€
Bean heads he means… more bothered about showing off and getting a haircut done winning trophies
What also makes me laugh is when all the players put holes in their own socks… I find a complete joke it looks like rats have been eating them
The fxxing dancing by those idiots Lingard and Pogba speaks volume
Once Sir Alex left the discipline left too, that's what Ten Hag tries to bring back but people don't see it (ofc that Ronaldo scenario was weird, which I don't agree with) but I think that if Ten Hag will have a full squad without injuries he can bring Man Utd back
Pogba and Lingard would not have fucked about if Roy Keane was that radio would have got smashed to pieces
Lingard gets on like 5 year old
I know it’s stupid to hate someone you have never met or interacted with in any way but i HATE Jesse lingard with a passion.
Why rooney speaking like gerard or carra
Look at where lingaurd and pogba are now. Clowns happy for them.
