Unscrew the other way around.
Is the tool damaged? You might need to replace the tool.
Pipe wrench
This is the left side of your bb, so the thread normally anti-clockwise to remove. Because the fitting is now damaged, apply heat, to the frame part of the bb, and use a pair of stilsons

Hold the BB in a vice horizontally, twist the frame to loosen it off. Did this many times when working in the shop.

Flat screwdriver and hammer, that works for me every time. The cups are screwed anyway. Just point the screwdriver and hit it with the hammer, make small steps until you can unscrew it by hand
Chain wrench, perhaps?
Why not just use the correct tool? You’ve still got plenty of material to get that off.
Mine was about £15 but even the official shimano one is £25

Vice grip the bottom bracket as tight as you can and use the frame to unscrew it. My local bike coop showed me the trick we took off my seized bb 💀
Its usually glued in. Heat it before.
Be careful! But you can do it.
What does your tool look like at this point? A worn tool could slip on the BB. A better steel tool might provide better grip. You could also use a threaded rod, washers and nuts to fix the tool to the bike more securely then a longer lever. If I flip your pic upside down I think you’re going the right way if I’m looking at the NDS.

You need something like this (groove plier) to grip and unscrew, but do get new bottom brackets after removal.
