Are these legit? Ordered Maxxis DTH 26×2.15 from bike-components de
On the webpage they showed the regular DTH logo (blue-ish with goth like font).
Unpacking them I noticed this yellow version that I’ve never seen before.
I’ve never had these before so I have no old ones to compare feel to, just that this “logo” looks cheaper, less well made. Also, can barely find any pictures online with the yellow lettering, the ones I do find pops up on sites like marketplace and eBay which to me seems like a red flag..
I don’t care for the logo at all (going to black out both the Maxxis text and the DTH with a black marker), I just want to know if there’s a difference and / or if they’re the real deal.

Looks fake af
I have a couple of sets of tan wall DTH in 26 with the regular logo, and haven’t seen this logo myself. But at the same time I doubt that your tires are counterfeits. Maxxis changes their logos for OEM tires, which would explain why you see this logo used on sites which tend to have such products. Alternatively they have changed fonts temporarily for things like their 20th anniversary.
If you are still worried that they’re fakes, weigh one and see if it matches (i.e. is close to) the weight listed on their website. Keep in mind that the DTH comes in folding and wire, as well as having some other variants, so make sure to get the correct weight. Listed weights on tires vary a bit tire to tire due to the manufacturing process, so don’t expect an exact match.
I don’t think they are fake – just a lesser known version of the black sidewall graphics. I see plenty of these via google image search. And if they came from bike-components. de then I doubt it’s counterfeit. I agree that they don’t look as cool as the normal version, just send them back and ask for the regular version or order from somewhere else.
