One of the wildest countries in Europe: Romania. In the summer of 2019 I cycled across the magnificent country of Romania, conquering many of the Carpathians’ highest mountains along the way.
Starting in Belgrade, Serbia, I followed the Danube river towards the border with Romania. Through National Parks and mountain ranges I searched for the remotest of paths and most beautiful mountain passes.

As a Romanian, I must warn you. Be careful with the Borsec bottles. What seems to be water may as well be our beloved țuică and might totally blow you away. And burn your throat in the process, and make you lazy and not want to pedal at all haha.
