Day 1, I cycled from Bengaluru to Nandi Hills. On the way back (in the middle of nowhere) I came off the bike and had to call for a pickup from a work colleague. Now in hospital. 5 weeks cycle touring gone.
Who else has had as bad a start as me?

I flew to India for a combination ‘work from Bangalore office’/long weekend bicycle mini-tours.
Plans were for an Audax ride out of Bangalore, 3 day mini-tour to Coorg/Bylakuppe/Mysore; 5 day cycling weekend in Kathmandu; 3 day mini-tour to Tamil Nadu; cycling weekend in Singapore.
Sad.
Sorry to hear that, but it’ll get better! Was off the bike 2 months in a foreign country with a fractured clavicle recently… It goes by quickly.
Sounds like it could be worse. Glad you’re okay. Shit happens.
