I never understood why people would lock the front wheel instead of the back when given a choice. It’s very common in my city. Should you not lock the back wheel because it is more expensive and has your cog?

Route through rear wheel, align seat tube with the pole to lock and secure through frame.

A couple minutes with a 15mm wrench and a couple Allen keys and someone could take your whole bike less the front wheel.

I could steal that bike minus the front wheel with two Allen keys in five minutes. As others have said, loop through the rear triangle and rear wheel.
Remove front wheel and bars, then just pull the chain over the stem. Completely quiet and requires the most basic of tools. You’ve only secured your wheel to the post.
