The chain link(the small pipe in the chain) is moving around so I don’t think it’s useable. If I were to repair it what tools and repair parts would I need?

Repairable. You’ll need a chain splitter tool and a magic link / quick link that is compatible with your chain. You use the chain splitter tool to eject the pin that is disconnected and the pin at the other end of the outer link (the one with KMC engraved on it) and then use the magic link as a replacement.
