New rim and spokes for Cannondale Treadwell 2 w/ Alfine dynamo hub
Hey folks,
I recently acquired a Shimano Alfine dynamo hub for my bike and wanted to wire up some lights (I’m always forgetting to switch mine off and wearing the batteries down).
I need some help trying to figure out the replacement rim (current one is a little warped) and spoke length. Would appreciate any tips to get started.
P.s. here’s a pic of my wonderful bike, currently used everyday as my run around in Amsterdam for everything.

Buy or download a copy of The Bicycle Wheel by Jobst Brandt. It’ll take you through the process step by step, this is how I learned to build wheels. There’s a lot to digest initially, lots of dimensions to account for but with online spoke calculators and that book you’ll do fine.
