Hiya
I've got my skirt stuck in my bikes brake pads – they're hydraulic brakes. I can't get it out and the bike tyre now won't move!
I also can't take it to a shop as it's too heavy to wheel that far and it's now stuck at my workplace.
Can anyone help me figure out how to get this out? I've tried tugging it and it's properly stuck in there.

Undo the quick release and remove the wheel
Remove the wheel. [This video](https://youtu.be/LZlSmATIXTY) shows how. Don’t worry about what gear it’s in, since you can’t change gears at the moment.
Pull this lever open and the tyre should come off. If not spin the lever counterclockwise a bit.

As you’ve discovered, long, loose clothing like this is quite hazardous while riding a bike – too many things for it to get caught on. If it had been the chain or gears on the other side, it could have been much worse! Be safe!
I hope you got your skirt unstuck. Don’t let it stop you from riding your bike to work. You can buy or make a skirt guard for your rear wheel, it’s actually a thing. I’ve even seen some hand crocheted ones on Etsy.
For avoiding that next time, maybe consider installing a dress guard on your rear wheel.

Try moving the bike backwards by rolling the rear wheel backwards with your hand, at the same time tug gently on the skirt. This might unwind the stuck material.
It might by useful to have a second person holding the bike up for you. Or the procedure can be done while bike is upside down, resting on the saddle and bars.
