My buddy and I visited Bremen (Germany), a city of the Hanseatic league. We rented two great bikes at the outskirts of the city and took off, first through the greener areas passing through the towns of Oyten and Achim. We made our way back to Bremen and traversed the city center and the north-east. During our trip of 50 km we encountered the Weser weir, an interesting vending machine and several medieval parts of the city center. On this day I also welcomed the 100th subscriber to my channel. [Music] Overland L here’s the bike that we got for today and me and my buddy are going to do some biking in the D area so come and join [Music] us yeah so my Budd and I just concluded that this just looks like the Netherlands pretty much we feel at home we feel like we on the Netherlands plane no Hills [Music] rain quite a developed bike infrastructure there are bike Lanes all over the place brayman it’s a very bike friendly City kudos to that so just like back home bra has the far literally called the bike Road fainted here on the road I guess that means that on this road cyclist have priority it’s a cool concept we just discovered one more reason for feeling at home in the Netherlands a windmill my hometown my home country of the Netherlands is well known for its old windmills this is also one of them all right we’re off we’re going to leave over Noland not sure exactly where we’re going we have general direction Southeast it’s my buddy again hey travel buddy we’re going to bike together check out um the Dublin bike movie in the belf bike movie we bike together there as well and it was a lot of fun right yeah this does not look like an urban environment obviously we had to go all the way to the outskirts of the city of bra in fact over oand as just explained find a decent rental bike we could not find one in the city center but you know it’s nice for a change if you look back at my know Cairo movies for example world of difference right here but this is enjoyable too so as you can see from the weather prediction on the screen right now the day started with a lot of rain we knew the rain would subside by 10:00 and in fact it’s almost dry bus stop kind of in the middle of [Music] nowhere railroad tracks the other bus stop cool let me give you a view to the right here so all the way in the back I think those are the outskirts of the city of BR that’s evidenced I guess by the bigger buildings that you see there other than that it feels like we’re kind of in the middle of nowhere [Music] awesome just got a neat like a nice wide road with nobody on it and on both sides green approaching the town of oon as you can see entering the town of oon at a bus stop here’s bra City here’s the town of OA so we did the first 10 kmers going to the town of OA what we’ll probably do now is go around to the South and then back into the city looks like we’ve reached the let’s say Town Center of oon leaving the town of oon all right entering the of [Music] aim the town of aim and we are going to head right here as you can see back to BR City and if I’m not mistaken the road on the right is in fact called Brar meaning bman Street check that out for you it appears but over here is the Town Center yes 75 years of the city center of aim it says over there on that Banner to the right here should be as promised you see the yellow sign over there brma is 14 km that direction over there well we’re entering the city of Rayman or style mondorf so that’s a part of the city the neighborhood if you will it’s called mandor so we’re officially back in the city of Raymond [Music] oh [Music] the first two letters of the license plate say HB so that stands for H bman meaning htic city bman this is a map of all the htic leak C is from the year 1400 see right here BR that’s where we are this is rather interesting you know there’s the bike we’re in a kind of a suburban area really regular not much exciting to see and then in the middle of that suburbian area is a vending machine [Music] with love toys and pocket size boxes so you can actually insert some coins and check it out there are condoms all sorts of love toys yeah I I have no idea why this is here and I’ve not seen this very often before in any of my other trips anywhere on this planet and again why here why here I’m going to take my spot over here yes there we go rder it’s getting better blue skies are emerging and we’re still 8 km from the city center of bra making our way to the Suburban areas cute little roundabout very cute this for sure doesn’t look like the prettiest area of bra I guess we need to take this road to get back to the city center there’s a big plant in the back S swb I don’t know what company that is yeah kind of a sketchy area I’d say but that’s part of the job and also and uh enjoy exploring those interesting view looks like a big PL site over here I think this is the river wazer [Music] let’s give you a view let’s give you a view got I think the river is called the waiter there you go that’s a big plant we just saw over there the other side it looks like this uh the city center of D is that way yeah that’s some intense power right here so laen cavar means uh lethal danger so I think that speaks for itself that’s a very clear message [Music] so at this spot where we’re at right now the city used the river to generate energy for the City St it says over there through the I think that building that you see over there is gone what we’re going to do right now dig this this larger bridge over here pretty [Music] steep yeah in Dutch we call this a slice I was looking for the English word but I don’t remember the English word unfortunately yeah Green we’re still at the edges of the city looks like close to the city center of brayman and we’re taking the razor Boulevard here why not it means we can skip some traffic lights and we get to enjoy the view of the river yet one more time so the city center starts on my right hand side here you don’t actually see it pretty nice hallway over here I see a few dur TS I have not seen many tourists at all in the city but here there are a few yeah you can see the style of buildings change check this out for example yeah so along the boulevard we got quite a few bars and restaurants it’s OB not very busy right now it’s only like I think 2:00 in the afternoon but I bet especially at warm summer nights this place will be crowded all right YouTube subscriber number 100 we’re heading toward the old city center of Gman it’s actually a medieval city center very nice so we’re at the heart of the medieval city center of dma I’ll give you a 360 uh I was here yesterday by inline skates it was much more quiet so there is a demonstration right now and there are more tourists than yesterday so there are a few UNESCO world heritage sites over here you can see the Roland statue and The Old City Hall over there uh take a look at this inline skating movie of me that I made yesterday for some more details it was much more quiet better pictures better View and more time for an explanation [Music] oh [Music] on our way back to the rental place we can really make some nice speed here all right so we’re back in the OB oand where we rendered our bike and where we started it was a nice drip very nice okay so let’s see 4 hours 38 minutes almost 51 km nice I want to quickly introduce the the rental place to you so it’s called Bartles in oband at the edge of BR so here we
