Hi all, I know this is kind of a stupid question but it is the most expensive bike I have ever owned and I dont want to mess something up and make a costly mistake due to being impatient.
Can someone please tell me if this black plastic piece is supposed to come off? The instructions and videos on youtube speed right past this part. I suppose it does – How to remove it to get the front wheel on if so? Sorry for the dumb question and I appreciate your patience! This is my first higher end bike so I am new to this.

Pro tip: make sure you snug down any of the little bolts for luggage attachment on your fork or bottle cages on the frame. Mine were pretty loose after my first ride.

Hmm ok my bike seems to be missing the tape that protects the paint. I bought a midloader for it. Should I just skip the tape and put the bag on? or maybe I can buy similar tape elsewhere? Maybe I can just use clear packing tape, or skip it?
