After good tires and saddle yes but only good suspension seatposts are worth it for commuting.
I suggest watching the YouTube video about it from cycling about

I’m not a fan. Its a saddle not a seat.
If you don’t ride for months or longer its going to be sore the first few rides.

I personally dislike the feeling. You’d probably be better off with larger tires, and making sure your seat fits you right

Looks bouncy.
I have fat 3 inch tires on my MTB. Get the tire pressure wrong, they get bouncy. You don’t want bouncy.

I ride 26km from work. I have this exact seatpost and the biggest comfiest saddle I could find. I have comfort style handlebars and ride straight backed with a smile on my face.
This has worked for me for 15 years and I ain’t never gonna change. I can ride 85km in a day (slowly) and not have a sore back, butt or numb hands.
I have an elastomeric seatpost on my ebike that has adjustable damping. It’s great, if you have ridden ebikes much they will give your spine a thrashing.

[Alee Denham of Cyclingabout](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1e3g8uqrJU&ab_channel=CYCLINGABOUT) talks about this. He comes at it from a context of touring, but what is touring but commuting for a REALLY long time?
