I got one for $20 fully customized from AliExpress. Love and now have 4 in the closet. They are working great.
This may be a situation like track bikes. All tech used in competition must be technically commercially available for sale. They never want to or expect to sell it, so it’s listed for stupid expensive. Like the $50k track bikes. Sure you can buy one, but nobody will.
