Hi folks! I know this is a Cannondale bike in the photo – My Canyon Grizl gets here in a few days so I bought a new folding lock for it, as I already own a U lock.
I am thinking of using the internal connection points for water bottles, so I like the idea of attaching the lock in the place as seen in the photo, but I am new to cycling at a higher level so I wanted to ask if its a bad idea or not to add weight in this location.

I have a grizl and also mounted the lock on that place. It collects a lot of dirt, but it is the lowest part of the bike. Other option can be the fork or on the reflector mount on my back rack. But for now I have it mounted under the downtube.
