Is the Neuron CF in size “M” the right size for me 180cm?

I want to buy the new Canyon Neuron CF LTD:

I am height is 180cm, 85cm inseam. Canyon recommends size "M" for me. But after reading some threads here and other forums. I am confused, because, some people recommend "L" for my size.

Why should you go bigger than Canyon recommendation?

I want to use the bike as an allrounder. I live near the Alps (Bern CH) and want to use the bike for touring / long days, some trails, maybe visiting Graubünden, do an Trans Alp… I am not a big "shredder" or enduro rider.

I had an 2015 Specialized Epic in L which feld always a liitle to big. I had an Santa Cruz Hightower 2 from 2020 in L which was fine.

I ride an Canyon Ultimate in M which is perfect.
