When should I change the chain?. My chain is rusted but seems to work fine. (First bike so I really don’t know if I’m wrong or right). Advice is helpful. Thank you~

They make a chain gauge that checks the stretch of your chain.
That’s how you know when it’s time to change bike chains.
The chain gauges are relatively inexpensive.
