I've had my bike for a few weeks now and really been enjoying it, but I started experiencing a clicking sound when pedalling that gets louder when I push the pedal down harder. It didn't start with any apparent incident or anything; just started hearing it spontaneously when riding on a paved road yesterday.
I thought it was the pedal at first, as I think it's a bit louder on the left hand side, but it's very difficult for me to pinpoint exactly where the sound comes from. I re-greased my left pedal and then tightened the screws, but the clicking persists.
The sound does not go away when I stand up on the bike while riding either, so likely not the seat post, though I took it off and added some more assembly paste and tightened the screws just in case. No luck.
The clicking also does not go away when I put my hands off the handle bar.
Unsure what to do now, so I was thinking if maybe you could suggest what might be causing it and how to fix it. It's still weekend, so I was hoping to take it on a longer ride, but all the workshops are closed, sadly. Also, I'm not sure if taking this bike (which is admittedly a bit pricey) to just another small-town workshop is a good idea.

Did you check the chain? My Aeroad was also making a clicking sound and it turned out the chain pin was installed incorrectly and the link turned a bit bent
Have you had a look at the chain to see if there are any sticky links? Or, does the sound still present itself when you are free-wheeling (not pedalling)?
Have you tried another pair of pedals? Only greasing doesnt fix a clicking pedal. Try another pair and you can exclude the pedals in your sesrch.
Someone posted here recently about a similar issue. Try checking that the rear derailleur and derailleur hanger are tightened to spec before anything else.
It’s Canyon’s job to fix this, since you just bought it. Don’t know where you live, but here in Germany, every company is obligated to fix problems that come up within the first year (warranty). Contact Canyon first (make a phone call instead of mail, cause they are usually very slow on mails, at least here in Ger) before you bring it to a shop near you.
I had a similar noise problem for about a year and I was “stupid” enough to want to find the issue myself and tried all sorts of stuff. Just recently, I contacted Canyon and brought it to a bike shop. They checked it and told me that a lot of stuff wasn’t properly greased or not greased at all (like the cranks).
It could be anything as the sound is traveling through frame. You can hear it up front but the truth is it’s created at the back.. I guess it’s good to check derailleur hanger at first place and put some grease between hanger and frame based on my experience with new bikes. If it doesn’t help then the cranks and bottom bracket.
It could be the bottom bracket. Is it a Token Ninja per chance? If it is I’m pretty sure that’s the cause. I had the same issue on my Grail. Swapped the Token Ninja for a Shimano bottome bracket and have been pedalling noise free ever since.
