on the bridge now over the motorway the boy’s eyes are glued to the road in case the target car passes underneath we’ve had a intelligence vehicle we’ve been after involved in the conveyance of drugs is coming down the M5 about a mile away from us suddenly Chris spots the motor coming off at their Junction yeah y contact contact heading down the 83 towards Wellington 838 towards Wellington the boys quickly get behind the target car but when Taff signals for it to pull over the driver is in no rush to [Music] stop Chris thinks the passenger is up to something odd stand by stand by like feel about to Camp get out the car open on the window chill chill chill get your hands on the wheel have drop on the door for me right stay there you being detained for purposes of drug search what have I done you’re the owner of this car are you yeah yeah right okay mate you’re being detained for the purposes of drug search Okay as a result of intelligence received you’re going to be taken back to hry ro police station for full drug search both you and the vehicle is there before I do that in the vehicle yep is there anything in the vehicle I need to know about no any drugs on board no right okay mate we think there might be drugs in your vehicle is there anything in there no the girl claims to have nothing on her but she was fidgeting around earlier and as nothing was chucked out of the window she could be hiding something this vehicle’s linked to transportation of drugs both um the car and the driver um so what we’re going to do we’re going to go back to clemton police station obviously we can’t do a full search here we’ll both be strip search and we’ll give this vehicle right a good thorough search as well the strange activity before the car was stopped has made Chris to warn him so that came from him did they yeah we have to have that away on WE the blun may have hoped the calls came earlier as JN finds three wraps of heroin in his pocket no more drugs are found in the house or on the other occupants so they’re all free to go all right thank you oh watch but this young lad has got some questions to answer there was three people in the premises uh one male was searched found to have three wraps of heroin on him he’s just come out of prison for drugs defending the other two have remained in the house the dog handle I think just found traces of burnt heroin on foil because the occupiers have admitted to using smoking heroin the quick thinking and response of the tag section sent out a strong message that they’ll carry on their war against illegal drugs suggesting that he owes 199,000 uh P89 P to uh the motor insure his board for being involved in an accident where he’s had no insurance so uh we go make sure that all that’s been cleared up as well I think the driver is claiming he has insurance but after find in this letter Giles bedson is not so sure and quizzes him the Gent in the back of the vehicle there was the driver of the um of the perso after uh being expertly questioned by my learned colleague Mr bedson he’s uh finally admitted that he hasn’t got insurance for the vehicle it’s the end of the journey for this car as it’ll be towed away and impounded just going to pop one of these fine quality stickers on the back of the car it um just sends out a message when it’s on the back of the recovery truck to the other drivers that um that’s what’s going to happen if you got no license on shorts that may not be the end of the driver’s problems as a search of the vehicle turns up more trouble there’s one full one like that yeah and then there’s another one here which I dig out here now where is it gone got two small bags of um herbal so they were tucked in I don’t know if you can see down here basically you could smell it’s quite a strong smell what they tend to do is use these air freshers to hide the smell but it’s quite distinctive and it was tucked in down a little compartment under here uh who found it and my that back he’s been getting a fixed penalty notice for his tax which is £60 and before before he can get the car back he’s going to have to get himself some uh insurance so uh it’s quite a good stop driver has a little think and comes up with a new story so cuz I’ve got a bike and I’ve just changed the insurance on that so hang on all I want to know is what insurance you’re driving under you’re telling me it’s Churchill now you’re saying you’re covered on something else no I’ve just been explaining to this chap here Churchill was the last one I I re just bear with me a second Here We Go power is under socap he goes to break the new news what’s going to happen now is I’m obviously going to secure the car I need the ignition key only all right super job um you now need to produce a valid uh insurance certificate to get the car back and if it is in order you won’t have to pay the recovery charge oh well there you go see that’s not all thank you very much that’ll be that Robert gley went home and searched high and low for his insurance documents but he couldn’t find him because he didn’t have any he accepted the penalty and paid a 250 quid fine and got a whopping seven points on his license it’s turning out to be a busy day on operation Utah as soon as a recovery man turns up Mike is called away to help another unit but up ahead a rider has been knocked off his motorbike and the other unit will have to wait in the distance a motorbike was about to pull out at a roundabout but the people carrier behind him hit his bike Mike stays in the car and radios for an ambulance yeah can I have an ambulance please to Cy Bridge roundabout we got a motorcyclist been knocked off by a car driver coming hello buddy all right yeah you’ve been better obviously yeah okay for 10 years it’s got to be of a standard which is safe on the road yeah all right and that’s not safe on the road cuz as soon as I get in there I can smell the exhaust fumes for starters the car is full of toxic fumes and looks a right State the guy should know better really is he says he’s in the motor tray it’s clearly no ordinary car it’s a company car at the moment I’m using it to go to and from work right so that is a company car owned by your boss that’s a company car by the garage yeah right Giles just can’t believe what he’s hearing company cars are meant to be a luxury not a exhaust is an opportunity and it’s allowing gases to enter the interior the cabin of the vehicle which is obviously uh dangerous okay and he’s not leaving it at that to say you understood what I’ve told with the car sorted it’s now the mechanic’s turn I’ll also be reporting you for using your vehicle in a dangerous condition which is basically the exhaust okay the fact you’re a mechanic I would have expected better for you as I say you know about cars you know that’s dangerous the lad is allowed to take his Fiesta straight to the garage to to get it rol legal he can also expect a lovely evening we’ve been driving the other way in the car so uh hopefully it’ll he’s not long since passed his test so if he is convicted of having a vehicle in a dangerous condition it it could be some
