good morning everybody uh slept pretty well I haven’t actually paided for the room yet I hope that we had I hope that Google translate worked and we’re able to like that she’s able to take my card now I guess if she’s not able to take my card I can leave my stuff here and then go try to find an ATM machine somewhere best I can hope for at this point is that the mom just comes out with a card reader oh you have a car reader oh yeah perfect fantastic thank you so much yes they do accept cards fantastic yes it’s okay perfect perfect we still have a problem with our bike being super dirty but we’ll wash the bike off later okay so I think that she just didn’t know how to use the machine I imagine like typically her husband or somebody else is typically the person in the office managing that and I think that’s why we had to wait for the morning to be able to use the card is because she didn’t know how to manage that because she tried to like type in the thing and have me pay for it but she didn’t push the green button to like actually start the transaction I had to go up there and like enter the stuff for her so I think that I think that it was just that she didn’t know how to use the machine I’m taking a look at this place right now they’ve got security cameras this is a this is a fairly industrious setup I could be wrong but they might have built this place themselves they’ve got all the lumber for it so much cooler than a hotel no I’m honestly not sure where the footage went from yesterday that’s really concerning um I’m a little bit worried that I might have accidentally deleted it with my little my python script that I wrote earlier that I might have done something and accidentally tried to move the file over delete it and then it didn’t work I don’t know but the thing that you guys missed was that I was complaining that hotels are boring that I don’t like staying in hotels anymore and that I would much rather stay in people’s Apartments like this cuz this is more interesting yeah they got a whole solar array set up I think that’s a greenhouse this place is so cool I have an ouse too little transmission just I don’t know what this place is but I love it and then the family lives in that house you can tell because you can hear the mom yelling at the kids okay we are ready to go I just want to give you guys one more reminder if you have not seen the videos from the first time I was in Ukraine go go watch that playlist I left it in the rain hoping that it would get clean uh it did not it did not get clean yeah we’re just going to take this to a car wash we’re going to power wash it down now in the premiere today when we were watching that somebody pointed out something super interesting the app that I like to use for all of my uh navigation stuff it likes to send me off into the middle of nowhere and that’s probably not a good idea in Ukraine because Ukraine has landmines in farm fields and this app will absolutely send me over a land mine just for Content so I think that what we need to do is we need to switch to Google Maps and we just need to stay on super busy main roads which means that increases our chances of getting hit by a semi- but it reduces our chances of sleeping on a landmine it’s a tradeoff let’s go staying in places like that are actually some of my favorite places to visit the places where it’s just like a family and they’ve got their own little extra residence they’re super interesting I found one of my favorite stores let’s see if they have pizza or hot dogs their sign says they’ve got the Fig the Figo Cafe which is the one with the burgers and stuff so I’m optimistic please be open yes it’s open cool have the hot dogs too yes grab something to drink your GPS signal is weak be quiet must mayonnaise yes thank you so much this is substantially better than bread for breakfast this is American as it gets hot dogs for breakfast living the life we will sit and eat here on the edge of this fence I think it’s about time to put sunscreen on people say that I should stop buying sunscreen at phy reason I should do it at supermarkets I will try to remember that I really hope that I’m able to find convenience stores like this in Ukraine because this is exactly what I need a lot of the stores you go to like the markets and the supermarkets they’ve got things like raw noodles and meat and eggs stuff that you would take home when you would make meals out of I need things that are hot and ready so I can ride with them that’s the reason I end up getting bread so much of the time it’s not because I just really like bread it’s because that’s the only thing that they’ve got that I can just eat while I’m on the sidewalk like this like buying a pack of spaghetti doesn’t do me much good when I can’t boil water there is a long long line of cars going this direction I’m curious if they’re all trying to get into Ukraine okay I wasn’t expecting it but I think this might be the border crossing there’s a river ahead um yes okay this person we’re coming over here to this guy uh hello I have a passport for you bike motorcycle uh no it’s an ebike it’s a it’s an e electric bike electric bike yes uh I’m a YouTuber I’m filming yes yes I rode from Bulgaria up you it’s filthy it’s it seemed better days thank you so much okay now we still got to go through Ukrainian Customs this is a bridge holy this is such a dicey bridge if one of these nails pops my tire God what a Bridge you can hear the planks coming up after I ride on them and this is supposed to support cars woof okay now we need to cross onto the Ukrainian side yeah he just put a little slip of paper in there okay we made it they checked off the passport everything looks good yeah there’s a massive group of people on this side of the Border I think they’re trying to leave yeah I think they’re all just trying to leave which I guess makes sense but big groups of people they were pretty clear that I’m not supposed to be filming that whole process but um what are they going to do I’ve already left that’s one of the reasons that I like this small little GoPro it doesn’t have a screen so nobody can see that it’s actually recording whole bunch of people here holy oh yeah I get up there I’m just like hey I got the insurance the insurance that I was supposed to get she’s like no it’s not necessary I didn’t even need to get the insurance so I’m pretty sure my app is sending me through a landfill it definitely doesn’t smell very good the tour is now making turn oh yeah definitely not where I thought I was trying to go the app says go straight there’s a path clearly not a path the app is just getting worse and worse I’ll just find another way to get there t 500 ft left of you shut up no it’s not you’re lying to me I just realized I don’t have cell data like it’s connected I can see the LTE but it’s got the exclamation point on it which means I’m connected to the tower but my carrier is not actually giving me data that’s not a good sign it we ride okay it was able to connect it just took a second look at these things these things are mansions and they’re all completely or they’re all uncomplete completely uncomplete like all of these things they’ve got the shell but the insides of them are completely gutted look at these things these things are these would be these would go for millions of dollars in America and they they have nothing inside of them they’re just stones on the outside these look like castles I think that’s a security checkpoint I’m not sure if I was supposed to stop or not but she definitely had an assault rifle I’m definitely interested in seeing what the age demographics are of the military personal as we go forward because she looked really young she looked like she was maybe 18 or 19 I miss Romanian roads let’s go straight I know I’m going straight just a sec my solar panel fell off come on I’m not exactly sure how it got loose because this thing didn’t come undone but whatever oh looks like the house is trying to pass us what is up with this it’s another completely empty house let me show you just let me show you what I mean when I say empty house like it’s got the bricks but it’s got no insulation no Plumbing it’s just empty there’s a bunch of places like [Applause] that I’ve also noticed that there are a whole lot of currency exchange places here like in Romania I saw like maybe two but here they are all over the place and we left the Border a while ago okay I can see that we are back to countries that don’t know how to paint their speed bumps like you would not know that there’s a speed bump here I think I’m going to have some problems with Ukraine going forward dude these roads are so bad if you’re a mechanic in Ukraine I bet you make a lot of money replacing suspensions or you would make no money because nobody could afford your services it’s either or you’d either make a killing because everybody needs your service or you’d go broke because nobody can afford to pay you either way I bet suspensions here go bad all the time we’re going to stop and just investigate the bike make sure everything is attached and working I’m here in a clanking sound that sounds like metal is rubbing against metal and I think it’s my bag right here yeah this guy is getting loose um I don’t really want to fix that right now though so we’ll deal with that later uh everything is still here bag tent sleeping bag I’m happy with it whatever still really need to clean it [Applause] this is crazy how bad these roads are and there’s like cars driving on them these are these are used these aren’t just like out in the Backwoods that nobody’s ever seen like I assumed that Romania and Ukraine would have similar Road worthiness because they were both Soviet satellite States it’s remarkable how much better Romania’s roads are like the roads are so bad that I am consistently going faster like the roads are so bad that I am consistently going faster than the cars God damn it it’s hard to do this with one hand while I’m trying to film do you know how bad the roads need to be for me to go faster than cars I’m not even going that fast the roads inside the cities tend to be a little bit better but as soon as you leave like the direct City premises it gets really shitty again see and there we go we are now in a city I believe this is a mini mart and this is a good opportunity to see if my cards work here the last time I was in Ukraine they didn’t and it caused a lot of problems for me hello they don’t even take cards which very likely means that I won’t be able to purchase anything until I get to an ATM fun my chain is squeaking I need to put Lube on the chain and you can tell that we’ve just left city limits oh oh the roads are getting bad again waa Slow Down slow down slow down slow down oh yeah my chain is squeaking so they’ve got this fence probably to stop you from falling off the edge there I just don’t know why it has barb wire on the fence like this is a national forest to our left and there’s a big Dam and River to the right okay the batteries are flashing they are ready to die let’s see how much farther we can push them but we might need to stop okay Google says the next town is 4 miles away let’s see if we can go four miles there just a bunch of cows just [Music] chilling now turn left on stre More Cows I bet they’re getting a drink okay the batteries have officially died so I think we’re going to you think this bridge is safe I’m just going to charge up one of the batteries a bit let’s go explore this bridge first question being is this bridge safe to walk on it’s still holding up so I don’t imagine one extra Nate will cause it to collapse it seems pretty Hardy definitely see through the bottom of it but you know part of the design actually we will be here for a minute well we wait for that to charge you guys want to go like down into the stream it we’re going I think we got to walk across this side because that’s where the bank is there is a cow sniffing my bike I really hope it doesn’t knock it over oh yeah it can support cars it’s a good Bridge I think it might rain it’s already 600 p.m. 2 miles to go to the next town okay she’s flashing again but it looks like we made it to town hi cow apparently this town is called Koch Chava this way for 0.3 miles I found a little market I’m not optimistic that they take Visa I see the sticker on their door that says they accept it so we’ll find out yeah they’ve got the sticker so looking at the prices here 14 I think 20 is 50 so this means this is someone in the neighborhood of0 cents a piece yeah their currency is lost about half its value since the last time I was here I’m sure prices have adjusted to reflect that but 20 cents of piece that’s a great deal now I’m not sure what this guy is but it looks like it’s got meat in there so it could be like a meat and cheese bagel looking thing that means this box of cereal right here is0 50 I’m not sure what kind of cereal it is it looks like Cheetos we can get some Cheeto cereal for 50 looks like they also got some chicken for 50 thank you so much yeah less than $2 oh my God the drinks are so much cheaper here too this is less than a dollar oh my God look at the candy section I got something called a shocker I wonder if that means it’s sour let’s get one one of these they got lighter spray oh they’ve got all kinds of candy oh they’ve got gum I like this gum yes I just tried two of them neither of my card is working maybe it’s because my bank is like freaking out but that’s not good okay I was able to get it to work apparently they don’t like tap to pay I needed to get my physical card dur that was oh always embarrassing but I am keen on trying this chicken I think it’s chicken it looks chickeny we spent $2.50 on all of this wait a minute they charged me twice yeah they definitely charged me twice uh but $5 is still not that bad for this and I’m not that concerned because it helps people in Ukraine I’m curious about our little Cheeto cereal and it does look exactly like unflavored Cheetos holy things here are insanely cheap $6 $10 $10 $13 this one is a hotel for $10 I think we need to find an ATM machine because I’m pretty sure most places don’t accept cards so let’s just have cash on hand just in case there’s probably an ATM machine somewhere in town right like people need access to cash yeah Google map says there’s something called Private Bank let’s see if we can find it hey there we go found an ATM machine ATM machine machine got to got to say that machine at the end of it otherwise you’re just saying it wrong well I’m just going to put my card in and see what happens okay it switched to English as soon as I put my card in so I guess it’s able to figure out where my card is from it didn’t do anything it just says thanks for visiting please take your card what you it’s just making a weird noise and saying thanks for visiting well I guess there goes our hopes of getting cash today which means even if one of these places does let his book for $6 doesn’t mean a whole lot if they don’t accept digital payments so my plan right now we should just message all of the people that we saw on the booking.com and see if any of them will accept our card okay I found one place it’s $10 a night they said that they don’t accept cards but they will if I give them my card information and they can run it like online so they don’t have a point of sale but apparently they can charge my card so we’ll find out how that works that does mean that even after I leave they will be able to consistently charge me they’ll be able to just like keep charging my card as much as they want thank you I’m glad you speak English that’s helpful I ask you so it’s wish you good oh Fant it’s perfect it’s perfect because we have better one it’s like this one 400 green that one 550 so difference in 150 green if you want all I need is the outlet I’m good yeah yeah yeah that’s all I need I’m fine totally good how do you think because here the bedroom is inside everything so maybe I can show you sure let’s check it out you if you don’t like just so you can take for example any bed which you want and here’s the bedroom inside that’s why ah so that one is 400 this one is 550 yeah I’m fine with the other one that F yeah totally fine me pay with it with PayPal so he does not have my card information he was trying really hard to get me to upgrade the room uh the room that I’m saying in is the cheapest one it’s the $10 one the other one that he showed is $15 and it’s got the bathroom built into the unit I think that when he found out that I was a YouTuber he tried to get me to change my room because he didn’t want me showing off this room but that’s kind of what I want to show I want to show the cheap option we have a tiny problem I don’t know where my keys are I typically keep my keys there aha I found them this room isn’t even bad it doesn’t have a bathroom attached but that’s fine okay we’ll let that charge oh there’s a little swing we can sit on you guys want to try some Cheeto cereal huh it has the same structure as a cheese puff except rather than having cheese on it it’s just like sugar so it’s basically like a like corn and sugar it tastes like corn flakes but it dissolves and it’s got sugar on it I don’t know how to describe it but it’s like a cheese puff with sugar actually it’s pretty good it’s wild every time it hits my mouth I expect that cheese flavor because I’m so accustomed to this being cheese flavored it’s kind of good I can’t imagine putting this in milk though it is getting late but I’m going to go on a walk they’re kind of scary when they’re up close you know looking at this grass people in America if you don’t like mowing your lawn just buy a cow [Music] what do chickens eat bugs probably bugs wait what is this it’s got a Wi-Fi symbol is this like a Wi-Fi hot spot let me check are they giving out free Wi-Fi to people yeah Toto link F1 well that is super thoughtful now if only they had an outlet then that would be really useful they don’t those kids they’re playing on an electric scooter and I just had an epiphany when I was growing up we played on like the regular Raider Razor scooters the ones that you would like flip up and they hit your ankles and you’d end up just like crying most kids they’re not going to ride those anymore everything is going to be electric like kids like that their first scooter experience is going to be an electric scooter and electric scooters are really dangerous when you’re riding them on regular roads like this so I imagine there’s going to be a lot more like children injuries because of those things I think this is the river that ends up making the border between Ukraine and Romania eventually down the line the owner of the hotel just texted me apparently there is a power outage going on right now uh yeah okay all of the power is out it’s not because of me I didn’t trip a breaker it’s out everywhere just because we’re in a country at War obviously I knew that the power was I just had to film that so you guys would be able to see it too like obviously I trusted him that the power was out knowing that there are going to be rolling blackouts as we go deeper into Ukraine I think that we need to take that into account as we’re riding and we shouldn’t do what we did today we ran these batteries absolutely empty today before we stopped to charge them I think that we should give ourselves like a 10 to 20% buffer just in case the power is out and we need to wait a while to charge them up again with that being said my laptop has a battery so I can still edit the video and this place has just this fantastic little patio there’s a fireplace right there so you can like cook stuff I I don’t think it’s set up right now but so I like that thing that I did at the end of the last video where I recommend one of my older Vlogs just because a lot of the people they came when I was doing my escaping Europe trip so there’s like 300 Vlogs that you guys haven’t seen this video right here is a video where I was trying to cross the border from Georgia into Armenia on an overnight train there was a bunch of hij Jinks because I didn’t have my real passport and they’ve never seen an emergency passport before so check
