My Sram Force XPLR RD (RD-FRC-E-D1) won't shift into the little ring unless I max out the micro adjustment in the app. However, even when maxed out, it doesn't shift perfectly. I would need a few more adjustment points to make it perfect. I have replaced the chain, cassette, and hanger. I just installed the latest firmware and am still having no luck.
Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix it?

  1. Have you setup the derailleur and the limit screws according to the manual? SRAM has awesome manuals.

Everything installed correctly? Cassette, rear wheel (+any spacers it might have on the axle), derailleur hanger etc.

  3. A new hanger might need adjustment. I always use the alignment tool even with a brand new hanger.

Set the micro adjust to the mid position (16 iirc)c, switch to smallest cog. Adjust limit screw so the cog is really slightly misaligned with the jockey wheel toward the outside.

Shift to biggest cog, adjust limit screw so jockey wheel is perfectly aligned with biggest cog. Fine tune.

Thanks to your suggestions it’s been fixed!!
The upper jockey wheel was installed incorrectly causing it to sit more onboard than normal. Fixed that and it’s shifting like it should.

This happened to me, when the bike came back from the mechanic he hadn’t aligned/ positioned the axle correctly.
