Hi

I'm looking to get a Canyon Endurace CF, but my ridiculously short legs make it difficult to determine the correct size.

My measurements:
Height: 1m72 (5'8")
Inseam (without shoes): 74cm (29.1")
Mobility: average

I'm not a racer, so the more relaxed geometry of the Endurace looks appealing.
The Canyon website recommends XS, however I'm outside of the normal range on the chart. (Height wise I'd be in S, inseam is on the edge between 2XS and XS) Picture

I did do a check with myvelofit. (AI thing where you upload a video of yourself standing and it determines your body proportions and matches it to bike frames. The reviews of this app seem positive.) MyVeloFit recommends small. Picture of XS vs S comparison

Any advice is more than welcome!

Thanks!

Just for the sake of completeness: my current bike is a cheap Triban RC500 (size S) from Decathlon. Here's a comparison between the geometries. It does occasionally give me some lower back pain, but I'm clueless regarding the reason.

  1. I would go XS. The XS seat post/tube should be short enough for your inseam, and if so, you don’t want to go another size smaller, otherwise you’ll end up with a low/short front, when you have comparatively longer upper body (since legs are short).

Also: [According to Canyon’s road bike sizing tool, the chart should be colored like this (example for Endurace CF SLX) : r/CanyonBikes (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/CanyonBikes/comments/1cabgdk/according_to_canyons_road_bike_sizing_tool_the/)

I have a similar build, but a little taller in both measurements – so it recommends small based on stepover but I’m outside of the boxes beside medium for overall height. I bought a small, based on their recommendation, thinking I could always do the 30 day return if needed, but I’ve been really happy with mine so far.

    Could I have ridden a M? Probably.
Is the Small a fine fit? I think so.
