I am devastated about this! Two months ago I got myself the first road bike, the Canyon Endurace CF7. Last weekend I went on the road and after a couple of minutes I caught a stick that got stuck between my derailleur base and the derailleur, because I had to make some space for other bikers. After that I stopped and saw, that my carbon derailleur base broke because of that.
After a call with canyon they told me that I have to change the whole frame of the bike, because the base because the derailleur can’t be changed as a single part.
Has anybody here had a similar experience?
One the one side I am a little bit furious that a small stick can break my frame that easy. On the other side I try to find alternative solutions. Maybe I could grind down the derailleur base and install a new base with a sleeve?

have u asked around for carbon frame bike fixer ? usually they can do wonder on broken fiber.
if not, u can still run the bike as 1-by just like the gravel bikes
