Pretty close to placing an order but going back and forth between 700 and 650 wheels. If I could squeeze some Race Kings in there with 700c wheels that’s an easy choice. I don’t care if I have to deflate them a bit to get them in and I’m not super worried about mud.
Not exactly your question but tried 650Bx2.3″ (Maxxis Minion DHRII) on the rear wheel of a Secan (the front wheel will fit whatever the rear can fit) and the chainstay clearance was fine (not huge, but fine). The seatstay bridge clearance was large, so even a full-length mudguard would fit.
I would imagine it would have worked as well with the smallest Race King (2.0″).
I don’t know if that observation was valid for 700C too though. The chainstays themselves would probably be ok but I think the chainstay bridge might be a problem?
I feel like these frames are designed with 650B in mind for “inch”-sized tyres (50mm and over). For what it’s worth I’ve got a Faran and I’m able to switch seamlessly between a 650B (with the 2.3″) and a 700C (with 38mm) pair of wheels without any adjustments to the brakes. Precision engineering!
I’d say maybe send them an email and ask, unless they’re around here to reply!

Well, i have ordered one but it hasnt arrived yet. However the site itself states that
>Tyre clearance with 1x (based on actual measured tyre width) – 650 x 60 or 700 x 50
So you might get lucky fitting bigger tires but i guess it depends ..
