    top nut should be completely or mostly below the edge of steerer tube. So, I can not tell of the picture.

  2. Nope. You need a stem with a shorter clamp or a longer tube, otherwise there’s not enough tube inside the stem to consider it safely attached and it can slip out easier.
    Also, you’re going to have a hard time tightening the screw inside to keep the fork from rattling.

    It would probably be fine but this is an easy fix – just buy a new stem with a lower stack height and that’ll get the steerer up closer to the lip of the top of the stem. That stem looks like it has a pretty tall stack

    I’d rather go with a shoter stem stead… just to be “prudent” with it…

  5. It IS safe if the top nut is below the tube heigh. Can’t tell from the pic
