I’m not your prisoner. I’m here to negotiate. We have no problem killing your son. I dare you to go after Charles. Who said anything about Charles? All these years, you’ve been hiding someone else. Bruce, our family is head of the Jade Dragons. So we’re like criminals? You could’ve told me that! -We were trying to keep you safe. -Yeah, nice fucking work! Shit! No! The family is under attack. Some new gang wants to take our place. It’s time for my brother to step up. I don’t want to be a gangster! What if I want to do what I want? We have a word for that in Taiwan, "American." Our enemies are coming after you to get to me. I’m starting to think neither of us know Mom at all. You don’t question her. I am still your mother. -Tell me what I want to know. -Or? I’m going to tattoo a penis on your face. Okay. You go, girl. Get what’s yours. Or don’t go, girl! Or at least pause, girl! Which brother are you? The killer? Or the dipshit? Take action and end this. I don’t think we’ve hugged before. We’re probably gonna die, so… you might as well get one in before you go.

  1. Oh boy, impossible to cancel that masterpiece of a Show! Keep Watch and Re-Watch, create a trend and The Brothers Sun will be back in the top 10. That's the only way to change Netflix' mind and revive

  2. Great show, daaaaamn! great acting, amazing story and cool fighting scenes! I like a lot, that I feel I got a deep insight into east-asian culture. I like specially the character played by Michelle and Bruce, somehow represents very good the culture of strategy (conquere without resistance), this created amazing twists! Very well done!

  3. Hoping for season, and it would be great if Mom Sun and Bruce can fight better like charles, although netflix already cancelled it and said no season 2 but I am atill hoping.

  4. Awesome show! Would've given it 5 stars but the guy who plays Bruce ruins the show for me. Absolutely horrid at acting that it makes me cringe everytime he talks. Everyone else was great. I just with they would've found a different person for the role of Bruce.

  5. The show is good but its an asian show (Taiwanese/ Chinese). If you're not asian you wont dig it unless you grew up with or socialize with asian culture and people. Theyre slowly pushing their strong independent women agenda through most of their female characters. Lame.

  6. I'm glad it got canceled after only one season. The woke writing ruined what could have been a good show. It would be better if she was portrayed as a Tiger Mom than a stupid boss botch. This seems to be trending where a woman takes over her dead husband or ex-husband business or house and things. Just like in Western society divorced court. Why couldn't she establish her own traid with women and not men. Oh, right, because that 💩 doesn't happen. Lame show with lame azz woke writers.

  7. Bruce has to the worst character I have ever seen in cinema. All he did was betray his family, and could never stand up for himself as an individual. This dude repeatedly put his own family in harm.

  8. I don't see a lot of people mentioning, how well they represent 1 specific asian culture, mainly Taiwanese. Even the mandarin some of the characters speak, like protagonist, is of a Taiwanese accent. I don't think all of them do, but more than I've seen in other movies and shows, also for most of them, they don't speak the mandarin part with that foreigner accent, I'm not sure if the actors are all fluent in the language, especially the ones who are fluent in English, but there's clearly extra effort in making the mandarin dialogue better. Also all the cussing they used, especially by Charles, is also what's commonly used in Taiwan, although I have to mention some of its usage was not entirely fitting in that situation. Also I don't think it's a coincidence that some of the ghosts, like sleepy chan, and the father, who operates only in Taiwan, are fluent in mandarin, and they have an accent speaking English.
Also, I don't think it's a coincidence that Michelle Yeoh, being Malaysian, I guess the more common dialect is cantonese, than the others, and her also spending time in Hong Kong learning cantonese, that the character seems to come from a cantonese speaking family, which would kind of make sense because her mandarin doesn't have a Taiwanese accent. I don't speak cantonese, so maybe people who do can hear the difference. These dialects can sound different depending on where you live. Hokkien spoken in Taiwan, sounds different from the ones in say Malaysia, and I'm sure it's the same with cantonese.
During the first episode I was actually really impressed that Charles spoke in a Taiwanese accent, and also the scene where Eileen opens the fridge, the sauces, the brands, the Tupperware. The passive aggressiveness of the parents, and I actually saw it coming how the churros was going to be described to be similar to YouTiao, just the way it was presented and it being for breakfast. That's also another thing, YouTia is something commonly eaten in Taiwan, I mean they are also in other s.e.asian countries, but it's a more popular breakfast dish in Taiwan than in those other countries.

  9. Michelle is captivating, just absolutely excellent. And get ready for Justin. He really stood out and rose to the occasion. This was a great series, could barely turn it off.

  10. Good but extremely stupid at the end I xant watch season two…this is trash, the boy f'd up the movie aaahg stupid…a gangsta becomes good, that has never happened!
