Hi there, so I recently got the Grizl CF SL 6 AXS 2XL and love the bike. Also, I checked my bag options and also went with canyon, since they sell bags which are specifically marketed for the model.
a) I bought the biggest (2,5L) Midloader Framebag and am under the impression that is does not perfectly fit. Isn't it a bit too small on the left? I wonder If there is a bag out there that does not leave a gab between itself and the frame.
There must be a bag out there that fills this 64cm frame more efficiently.
b) The Midloader Framebag did not come with carbon protection stickers. I heard it's meant to be like that, because the straps have a rubber coating. However I wonder: Is this safe? If sand gets underneath surely it would damage the color of the frame or wouldn't it?
Thanks so much for the help!

The bike should’ve come with the protection stickers.
a) yes, it looks a bit small but if there is nothing larger, what can you do.
b) Bags do not come with protection stickers generally, but no matter how tight you pull the straps, there is going to be some movement which will eventually scratch the frame. Apply helicopter tape (for a more permanent solution) or simply electrical insulating tape (for a temporary solution) on the frame under the straps.
I made a custom bag for my 2XL frame, that would be an option if you really want to get the most space out of your frame as possible. Not only is this bag too small, the slanted design is unnecessary on a 2XL because there’s more than enough clearance for your 2nd water bottle with a straight bottomed bag.
There are a bunch of independent bike bag makers on Instagram and such, you could ask around locally if someone in your city has such a business.
