Question for you guys that ride Haro… Last year I purchased my son a Haro Leucadia for his birthday. Recently, he came to me saying that his crank sounds like it's grinding, so I took it apart and it looks like the bearing race is cracked in several spots. Has anyone had any luck with Haro's warranty? If so, what is the luck that Haro will cover this since it's part of the frame? Any help here is appreciated!!

I haven’t had any dealings with Haro specifically, but my experiences dealing with any corporate company is that they don’t respond to emails. Phone call would probably be your best bet.
That said, quickest and easiest route would be to take it to a bike shop. This should be a relatively cheap and quick repair. Bonus points if you can actually take it back to the shop you purchased it from, since there’s a good chance they’d repair it at no cost.
I’ve never seen a modern mid BB shell crack like that. Wow.
Easy repair, just needs a new cup., they’re pressed into the bb shell and aren’t part of the frame and are designed to be removed/replaced. Warranty wise, they’d not cover it, wear and tear. I’d suggest now’s the time to upgrade to a sealed 3pc crankset
That bike came with a looseball American bottome bracket.What you are seeing is a replaceable bearing race that can be replaced with an American to mid sealed bearing system that will work with the baseline cranks the Leucadia came with.It will save you some hassle in the future.Make sure the mid bottom bracket bearings inner diameter is the same as the cranks.should be a 19mm is memory serves me.I haven’t seen any other sizes for the baseline cranks other than 19mm and definitely do not forget the crank spindle tube spacer or the bearings will get too much side load and prematurely fail again.
