Also just found this bike which looks pretty nice but then again i know nothing about branding of bikes. Just am figuring i need a road bike and hoping i can find some help on here to get the best fit. I can’t spend a lot of money on a $1000 bike, but i can take a risk on a few hundred dollar bike to see if this commitment will be in my interest. I’m 5’6 and will be commuting 20 miles back and forth with the option of public transportation along the way

It looks like low mileage looking at the rim surface. Depends if you need panniers, if you need to carry some bags or equipment. The best commuter for short distance and flat terrain are Dutch style city bikes with full chain cover, a rack in the rear and a rear wheel lock.

  2. 20mi each way you’re looking at probably spending close 75-90 minutes on the bike, if you’re on a bike like that. If you have a more typical road bike, you can probably cut it closer to 60-70mi (assuming it’s flat).

That’s a “fine” bike, but it’s really more of a city bike than a road bike. If it fits and rides well, it’s a good buy, but you’ll probably find yourself wanting that public transportation now & again.
