Inaugural overnight trip since moving to the Bay Area some months ago. The route from SF to Samuel P Taylor was logistically a cakewalk, but what else would expect riding in one of the most developed regions on the west coast of America.

Bike setup was dialed and packed just the right amount. Rain or colder weather would definitely have tested my storage capacity.

Legs and body felt strong, honestly was wishing to continue on for a second night!

Setup
– Bike: Specialized Diverge Elite E5 (all stock)
– Bar Bag: Ornot handlebar bag large
– Forks: Blackburn cages with voile straps
– Frame: Apidura Expedition (?)
– Top tubes: Oveja negra (sale pickup)
– Saddle: Oveja Negra (sale pickup)
– Downtube: Tailfin mini cage

My number one recommendation would be to shop Oveja Negras โ€œsaleโ€ where they list essentially perfect bags which have small blemishes for ~25% off. They rotate through them so often you can easily find the color and size you are looking for.

Your third photo of a building in the distance behind a river with a long flat path stretching off into the distance stirs intense bikepacking nostalgia within me.

I travelled around Europe for a few months on my bike and days spent with idyllic scenery much like this were some of my favourites. Thanks for the memories ๐Ÿ™‚
