I'm looking to buy one of these bikes, but I don't know if I should get a fully equipped one or a cheaper one and add the accessories over time (dynamo lights, fenders, racks, etc). I want a bike mainly for work and getting around town, but with the ability for intercity rides. Haven't had a bike since I was a kid, and would appreciate some insight.

I work in large flat concrete floor warehouses with screws wood splinters, and a lot of dust so something durable with low maintenance is essential.

I'm in Frederick, MD, USA- small, bike friendly colonial city at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. Not far from the C&O Canal Towpath to DC and linking up to Pittsburgh. I imagine I'd need some mild-moderate hill capability. Something that can handle Frederick, DC, NE West Virginia, Baltimore, Richmond, and Pittsburgh.

I have a Priority Continuum Onyx. Her name is Jolene.

I’ve been riding her as my daily commuter for over two years now. About 300 miles per month. It’s been absolutely perfect as a commuter. I love the fenders and lights. I added a rear rack and a clip-on pannier bag. I recently had the hydraulic brakes serviced, but that’s the only thing I’ve had to do maintenance-wise.

Oh, and I did upgrade the tires to Gatorskins. I live in a gritty city and was having a lot of flats with the stock tires. The Gatorskins completely solved that issue.
