Hey all! I'm building up a couple of new steel bikes and haven't owned steel for a while….what's your favorite rust inhibitor to coat the inside of your frame?
I've used Frame Saver in the past, but that was years ago. I looked on Q and saw a few new choices I haven't used. All four are about the same price. Muc-Off is the only one currently in stock on Q, but I'm willing to purchase elsewhere.
Looking for opinions and first-hand experience from other mechanics. Thanks!

Determining the “best” brand of bike rust inhibitor can depend on various factors such as user preferences, budget, and specific needs. However, some popular brands known for their effective rust inhibitors for bikes include WD-40, Boeshield, CRC, and ACF-50. It’s a good idea to read reviews and consider your own requirements before making a choice.

https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/collision-repair-us/featured-products/cavity-wax-plus/
but most other non-bike specific/automotive cavity wax is fine as well.

as far as I can tell it is implied that HCB-1 is only applied on the outside of the bike? also reapplying every 12 months sounds like a pain to me.
I use Boeshield T-9.
Problem Solvers FrameSaver is the same as JP Weigle FrameSaver. Not sure if either is still available, I think JP sold to Problem Solvers years ago.
Fluid Film or BoeShield T9 would also work
I’ve always wondered, is rust inhibitor worth it?
