I picked up this Aldi MTB in a box for next to nothing on Marketplace. I went over everything making sure the rest was put together ok it’s running 10sp Deore, I’ve added Alloy Corner Bar copies, tyres, and a little gold bling.. a new fork and it will make a durable, decent ride.

Looks like a decent durable bike with the current fork TBH. Those Suntours XCMs are on nearly every OEM bike at the entry level price point for a reason. They’re rock solid, withstand extreme neglect and mostly just keep working.
My only issue with them is on the kids bikes they always come with springs that are far too heavy duty to actually compress with kids that weigh less than 40kg.
Nice work! How does it ride? Do you like the corner bars?
I think a rigid suspension corrected for would look great on there (or a sus fork with black stanchions at least).
