Yes. The steeper (and shorter) a jump gets the more difficult it becomes to preload a 29er (or even a 275er) in the lip.

Typically speaking a skilled enough rider can ride nearly any jump on any bike (cue Sam Pilgrim videos). But it’s certainly not fun to try to squeeze a full size 29er into lippy BMX jumps.

That said, I’m not seeing anything specifically in these photos that would be bad for a MTB. Where is it?

No idea where my writings went. I’ll write again below.

Are some dirt jumps better suited for BMX rather than 29er MTBs? I ask because, first time on this park, with my 29er and I had trouble linking up these jumps and pumps. It felt like, after clearing the first jump I wouldn’t have enough speed to the next and end up casing it. I’d lose momentum quickly. Of course, I’m sure it’s just cuz I’m new and need to practice is but was still a bit curious.

Would a smaller wheelbase bike be easier to get around these pump tracks, clear jumps, keep momentum? Is everything equally doable on a full 29er, is it just harder or the same difficulty?
