I found this bike abandoned in a shed on a property I moved into. I've been really into fixing up older bikes lately and I have never heard of this brand before. Just wanted some perspective. It's super beat up, surprisingly the tires hold air and gears spin but won't switch. One brake cable is locked up as well. Sorry for such dark pictures too, I found it and immediately wanted to post it.

    1. Seems to be a late 80s model bike. They go for 2-300 on eBay. The frame looks good, could be a fun project to piece together something with cheap used parts etc.

Ross has been around for a long time but I don’t think they’re a valuable brand. The stuff I’ve seen from them has been mostly lower end stuff. Almost department store type bikes.

That said, sounds like it could be put back in working order and it would be a cool nostalgic thing to have. If you got the parts and the time I’d say go for it, just don’t expect it to be something you could flip for $$$.

    3. At the absolute very least, you can certainly find a place that takes bike donations to be used for all kinds of reasons. A quick Google search of “where can I donate a bike near me” will bring up places. If you live near or in an urban area, you should have zero problems finding a place that would be thrilled to get that. I have donated to a place that gives them to homeless veterans.

Fine town bike so you’re not worried about theft. No real value
