I teach high school and have summers off and so am planning a 6-8 week tour of Scotland (possibly for next summer). I'm wondering if I can get input on a route and must-see sights/stops/segments.

I don’t have advice for you except to say 6-8 weeks for just Scotland seems like a lot of time, if it were me I’d do the entire UK in that time frame.
