My first HOLESHOT during a mass start race, and it felt great 🥊 Massive credit to Damien and all the riders for such a great show of sportsmanship. All masss start races should be like this and we should all allow faster riders through when it’s safe to pass 🫡
Great to get some race miles on the Orbea Rise and understand how the bike works. We have some upgrades coming through and already excited for round 2 in two weeks time.

Me in the C line with the fluorescent yellow jersey ( 0:04 ), my dad as an amateur photographer ( 4:13 ), and my mum handing out bottles of water at the finish ( 18:33 )!
exciting ride and great content! For us casual viewers, what place did you come in? I watched twice and only saw 2 riders pass and it looked like you pass one who crashed as well. But then there were several riders at the finish line.

What a race – been following this on the Owlaps channel for a few years. You done real good man! amazing…and yes, the sportmanship among all the riders is brilliant (i was there that weekend with singletracksafari for a week doing guided enduro trail etc but spent time time at Valnoord bike park that day too – we saw lots of you folks waiting on the uplifts etc)
can you even carry speed through turns? Those dudes easily rode away from you, i mean you didn't even have a prayer
