You have a square taper crank and bought a Shimano 24mm crank. I don’t think you can (or should) adapt one to the other as it was meant as a straight part upgrade from one Shimano 24mm crank to another.
If you want to use it, you probably have to buy the rest of the Shimano crankset that goes with it and a new (probably BSA) bottom bracket.
Left one is Shimano hallowtech, right old square tapered bottom bracket. U need a new bottom bracket and right side crank with chain rings since the new system uses a spindle directly attached to the right side crank arm.
Edit: iam not aware of and kind of Adaption for these older spindles.
you got two dfferent types of cranks and bb. the crank on the right is for a square taper bottom bracket, the one on the left uses a hollowtec2 type bb. there is no way to make those work together. if you want to use that power meter you need to replace the drive side crank with a hollowtec2 crank and get the correct bb
Crank arms are not universal, one is a Shimano Hollowtech crank and the other is a square taper. I know of no power meters for square taper cranks, square taper is usually found on cheaper crank sets. You are likely going to need new cranks/bottom bracket to mount a power meter on that bike, it’s unlikely to have a direct mount chainring for a spider based power meter
They are incompatible crank standards. If you have a square taper bottom bracket, you do have some options.
– swap the rest of the crankset and bottom bracket to an external style, matching the pm crank you have,
– return the crank pm and go with a pedal based one.
FWIW, Stages Cycling just went out of business so it’s going to be hard to get support from them, if any. If you have the chance, try to go with another brand for your powermeter.
Real question is why are you putting a power meter on a bike cheap enough to have square taper cranks
I assume that you only bought a left crank and this is not bait.
They are two different crankset systems, the one you currently have is a square taper crankset with sealed cartridge BB, where the cranks are attached to the spindle directly.
The powermeter you have is a Shimano Hollowtech left crank, where the spindle is integrated into the right crank and the bearings are on the outside.
You would have to buy a complete hollowtech compatible crankset, there are no powermeters for square tape cranksets on the market. or sell the one you have and buy pedals with powermeter.
