Hello fellow bikepackers!Tomorrow is finally the day – my first four-day solo bikepacking adventure through the beautiful German Eifel is on the agenda. I’m incredibly excited and ready to take on the challenge, but I must admit that I’m also a bit nervous.I’m quite familiar with camping and have plenty of experience with cycling, but being alone has always been a stumbling block for me. Although I love going solo, it’s been a while since I’ve done anything longer than an overnighter alone. So, this will only be my second time embarking on such a journey by myself. All my gear is packed, and I’m ready to go, but I would love to hear some tips, encouragement, and experiences from you all! How do you best cope with being alone during such a longer journey? And are there any specific things I should be aware of while bikepacking in the Eifel?I’m incredibly grateful for any help I can get. Bring on the adventures!Thank you, and happy trails!Additionally, I’ve tackled a ten-day solo trip from Krakow to Budapest. However, I felt very lonely during that journey, which discouraged me from embarking on longer solo bikepacking trips for a while.

Kona is automatic upvote for me. Good luck with your trip. You have the best bike to do it.
