The other day I found this Panasonic DX-2000 left out for the trash at my apartment. The quick releases were a bit rusty and stuck and the tires are dry rotted, but everything else looks alright. I’m thinking about setting it up as a single speed or setting it up with modern parts. What do you think?

What is the deal with people throwing shit like this in the garbage?
I would fix it up with its existing components and ride it around like that. Then decide what upgrades or mods it needs.
