[Music] stage two of the Jed Italia took the Riders to a mythical legendary finish at Europa a seventh time finishing up at the top and starting down on an old vrone San Francesco Campo was the venue for the signin Gant Thomas waving to the crowd as his teammate Jonathan narv began the day in the pink jersey just over 160 km to take on the first half of the stage completely flat and then the fun would begin three classified climbs the now three Sprints including the int jro a maximum of 16 bonus seconds on offer and that final climb a tough one almost 12 kilm Long leaving baella and heading up to the sanio de Europa where Marco pantani had made that famous move in 1999 dancing pass almost 50 Riders to win after a mechanical after the flag was raised it was a very very entertaining start couple of groups got away in the end it would be five Riders a five-star Italian break feli wearing the chick lamino Jersey marel Lu’s teammate b a former stage winner with Piolo the best on the GC at 107 scaroni there as well 2 minutes 15 for aana behind there’ be a wait to see who would control and then it would be the inos grenadiers poacha in the meantime contend to have a chat with gavian company and with just under 100 km to go the Gap would be at its maximum just over 4 minutes at the first of the Sprints points behind for the sprinters were mocked up by Kaden Groves the Gap just under 2 and A2 minutes when there was a crash Eddie Donar was involved Ki as well Z his teammate as well as The Grand Tour debutant Olaf Koy inter all time and points again to be mopped up behind Caleb y looking absolutely brilliant up the hill at the front of the race just over 50 km to go and Andrea Picolo was going at alone EF education easy post a recent history of going away with riders to take long range break winds but it was a big ass today the fall behind continue to challenge but they’d slowly drift away as the classified climbs arrived just over 2 minutes to Gap with just under 30ks to go and the numbers behind fading as well scaroni and marelui best of the rest piop the last remaining survivor of the day at the front just under 2 minutes of Gap over the penultimate climb of the day but the hardest Ascent was still to come in the pelan still controlled by the inos grenadiers m chuzi and scaroni would be [Applause] caught and then a disaster for Tad poacha or it could have been he went down he was okay all that caused by front wheel puncture but with 11 km to go a bonus Sprint happening up the road and garant Thomas taking two seconds vacho is off the back there would be no Panic from POG and with all the history a quarter of a century before and all the talk from the Italian fans in particular about MCO pantani a mechanical at the bottom for the climbing star it wasn’t as tramatic as that his team brought him back to the front P Colo would be caught finally after a very Valiant ride and six and a half km remain as his team really got to work UA Emirates were looking mightily strong once again 4 and A2 km remained hard a section out the way and pachad zoomed off the front OK Conor and Thomas were the first to try and hang on but Pacha would get a gap OK Conor would start to fade other Riders would make a recovery but again there’ be problems for the likes of B PLA and arensman proving it would not be just a on day problem theza had also been distanced by this point we’re going to have a change of leader but soon it be crisis for o Conor just under 2k’s remain when he went backwards and N Knew by this point he was not going to keep the race lead it have been a big ass for him anyway and T poacha turning up to the jro Italia having his own aopa moment pulling on the marar Roa and winning a stage amongst all of the accomplishments he’d be there to complete the grand tour Trio of stage wins at each of the big races but more importantly the most flamboyant rider in the world coming to the most beautiful race on the planet and pulling on the most aesthetic of the leaders jerseys out there Pacho winning Martinez second Thomas third bonus seconds for those two but a control and race lead for T Pacha n crossing the line just over two minutes down a stage win and a big moment for him but a huge moment for Pacha who on stage two takes the lead and control in the J Italia Delight for him and his team it all went to plan on day two pogacha 27 seconds in front of Martinez and Thomas Fortunato leovit store ER Brooks Rubio Lopez and H in the top 10 pogacha in pink celebration for him a first mosa of his career at the new general classification with Thomas up the second and Martinez also at 45 seconds coming up a day surely for the sprinters leaving novada and heading just over 160 km again finishing on the flat but with a couple of twists and turns towards the end for the king of the mountains classification that won’t change vacha by the way is also in control of that competition just one fourth category on the way there’s an aero chinzan a sprin in kasas and a finish later on at Fan stage three of the J live on Eurosport and Discovery Plus [Music] [Music]

    1. If perpetually praising Pantani, hey lets praise UAE boss Mauro Gianetti for his doping involvement and putting himself in a coma on PCF. Lets not be meek now.

    2. lets face it this is a race for second place….just hope Jonas is gonna be recovered and trained enough for the Tour…Jonas V Tadej at full health and fitness is what we all really want to see

    3. Team car nearly running over their star rider when he came down in that corner. honestly it’s getting ridiculous there willl be another car/motorbike/ pro rider accident this giro. Mark my words.

    4. A front tire puncture and a slight turn in the road. Will almost away end with the rider hitting the deck. I race and have been there and seen it way too many times.

    5. Awesome summary highlight from start to end. Love this new highlight. Pogs is on another planet today. Got a puncture and still get a win, it is really amazing to watch.

    6. I did not respect pogacar not as a person at least until he shook his hand with Jonas when Jonas waited for him after his crash on tdf.

    7. Can the image quality get fixed for the rest of the race? The first two stage highlight video look very compressed and low quality when set to 1080 resolution.

    8. I know for a fact there are so many riders out in the real world that deserve to be pro seemingly over half the peloton…like seriously G Thomas is a legend but when he’s still competing against all these young guys and there are only like 5 other riders in the world that dominate almost every race…it makes you think that most blokes shouldn’t even be there…

    9. Lets hope Vingegaard can overcome his inner bleedings, broken ribs and cracked lung and be there for the Tour.
So we at least gets some competitive action for the GC in TdF.
Tadej & Jonas are the worlds best grand tourer.. hands down and there are quite a margin down to the rest.

    10. He’ll get a 2 min gap, over the next few important stages. Then if he had sense, ride the rest within himself, just marking attacks. That way, I imagine he will be something like fresh for the tour?
