I am pretty new to riding fixed, and stumbled across a Bianchi Pista for $100 at a yard sale recently. I’ve been slowly building it up/replacing parts (seat, seat post, handlebars, pedals with new crankset + chain ring coming soonish) but it has been making a sound recently and I don’t know enough to tell what the cause is. I’ve read it could potentially need me to loosen the chain or something? Should I take my bike in to a shop? Thanks in advance 🙂
Do I need to take my bike to the mechanic?

Wheel needs to be trued… sounds like that chain might not be the correct chain for that ring/cog…
If you know nothing about bikes I’d recommend getting a tube up at a bike shop and then trying to learn more about bike repairs down the road!
Not if you know how to true a wheel…
wheel needs to be trued and chain is too tight or the wrong size, check its 1/8 not 3/32.
Try giving the chain some slack. Could be to tight. And I assume it’s lubed.
