word semifinal the word final still don’t sound right to me because if somebody would have asked me um on my walk back to the hotel in Budapest after that final ended where you you’ve got the chance of potentially repeating this experience in exactly one year I would have laughed at you because I would have thought that this score of losing a final on penalties would have been inside the mind of these players for a lot of time and it would have influenced our performances in Europe and as much as that score will forever be there I think Roma this season have shown that they want to get back what was stolen from them and um and this game is is probably the closest game in terms of complexity that um that that we that we’ve faced in these past Seasons because B lusin are considered Titans B lusin are considered un beatable but as D Roi said after that um after that Napoli game they they are unbeaten but they are not unbeatable because in football there’s no such thing as an unbeatable team everybody’s beatable everybody has mistakes everybody makes mistakes everybody wins games everybody steps up in a game in a different way than another game and every single football game has its own story to it every football game has its own narrative to it and I think basing this game on previous results looking at by Leverkusen and giving Roma no chance is the biggest mistake that us fans and the team can make because we have a chance and we just need to play our game forget about the fact that Bayer Leverkusen haven’t lost for the past 44 games we need to play our game we need to play our mind games we need to put them under pressure we need to play football because football is 11 players against 11 players with a ball kick around beneath their feet and B lusen aren’t aliens by group and um and I think it’s the best feeling ever so really like if you believe if if you if you think we have a chance because we do have a chance if you really believe in the effort that Roma’s football game is more than quality ultimately what decides the football game is who wants it more and there is no way on Earth that I think Leverkusen will want it more than us we were robbed of something we were shipped at something that was in our hands after 30 minutes of that final so there is no team in the world right now that wants to win this Europa League more than us and I think it’s the mental state that is going to make the difference in this game um and but again speaking about by Leverkusen lusen are an incredible football team because of how it’s been built Leverkusen are incredible football team because of how it’s been managed and Byer Leverkusen are an incredible team when it comes to giving value to players they just won the Bundesliga unbeaten in the league they fought against Bayern Munich Dortmund leig uh they are in the final of the dfb pcal uh and they also in the semi-final of a Europa League so technically they can complete a mini treble um this season they could and they’ve got high chances of doing this um the one thing that has kind of struck me when watching some parts of b lusin games is something which is normally is very hard to control but it’s something that requires genius moods to control control now if you watch by lusen games to prepare this match preview I’ve watched a few of their games and I can say that Bayern Leverkusen play only with the ball beneath their feet and with the ball on the ground you will never see by lusen launching the ball forward you will never see by lusen changing the ball and you know and um and uh and you know and yeah and just changing the Dynamics of the game with long BS that’s not what B lusen do by lusen win games change games pass the ball create actions up front with the ball beneath their feet and that is where the the number one thing which is important tomorrow on Thursday is press ing because if we don’t press up high and if we don’t put an intensity to this game Bayer lusen is going to destroy us because when you play against a team that keeps the ball on the ground and is really good and making the ball move around you need to press if you don’t press it’s going to be one of those games where you’re basically giving B lusin the tools to harm you and that’s not what we want to do we need to try and control um we need to try and control this game uh we need to try and control this game balance this game and ultimately i’ say the fact that we’re playing at home means that we need to try and win this game because yeah I mean I might be asking too much people might go well winning this game nobody’s won against by lusin um if there’s one team that can end the run it’s us it’s us it’s us if there’s one team that can end their unbeaten run it’s us so that’s the one thing that I’ve noticed on by lusin the second second thing that I’ve noticed is how good they are at exploiting wings and Wingers and fullbacks that’s exactly why both frong and Grimaldo which are their defensive fullbacks um scored so many goals this season because a lot of their offenses come from the Wingers and that is where I’m going to I’m going to look at the predicted the line yeah the predicted 11 in a second but that is where you have to defend very well against frong and Grimaldo so this is my take on it but if we start cors up we’re stabbing ourselves in the back because if there’s something that corop doesn’t doesn’t do and will never do is defend so I would much rather start with three center backs but play with a four system at the back and put one Center back as a fullback I would much rather do that than start with csop who might give you more potential threats in attack but does not care about the defense and he’s not good at defending we cannot be leaving gaps this is Bayern lusin are probably the best teams in Europe in the world when it comes to counterattacking occup occupying spaces so leaving them gaps you know leaving them high wide pitches up open it’s a recipe for disaster it really is going to be a recipe for a disaster um so yeah um again their biggest player is Florian verts we all know him I I actually think Florian vers is way more talented than a lot of Premier League players um you know I think when people look at you know you know when you look at those next gen talents rankings and you’ve got the likes of lamin yamal you’ve got the likes of Florian vers you’ve got the likes of andrick new Real Madrid player when you when I when I get asked out of all these players who do you think is the biggest threat who do you think is going to have an amazing career in the future I think Floren BRS I think he’s unbelievable I think he’s way more promising than the likes of lamalan and all of those talents he’s amazing his technique is some Sensational um he controls the game he scores goals he just changes the equilibrium up front and it’s going to be very hard to block him very similar player to dybala in terms of characteristics again he’s got a he’s got he’s way Young than dybala he’s going to learn he’s going to evolve but what he’s showing at such a young age is unbelievable um and then up front they have their Striker who also has been scoring quite uh quite some goals this season Victor Bonny FAS used to play at bottle glimp that’s some nightmares for you uh used to play used to be the bottle glimp Striker and um and yeah he’s scoring quite a lot of goals this season they’ve also got shik who always scores in the last minute and it’s written in the stories that he’s going to score against his old team at the last minute um so yeah those are Shaka they’ve got Shaka frong the rest apart from frong vers Shaka Bonas and Grimaldo the rest are bang average players which however are playing really well this season I think by leverkusen’s defense isn’t massive they’ve got Jonathan t on a big question mark he got a little injury in their last game so he’s in doubt for this game their defense is nothing special their defense is really nothing special which is why I believe that we can score goals and scoring goals on Thursday is going to be the reason that we advance onto a final if we do advance on a final the the the goal is to win on Thursday with a good margin to then bring back in Germany and not just defend but build on so would I say optimal result on Thursday look I would take a 1 nil I would take a 1 nil because you’d beat them you would end their automatism of winning games you would be on top of the world because You’ beat b lusen but we also have to be honest that one nil is nothing because you you they they’ve have to they it what we did last year I think is not going to work out I think what we did last year is not going to work out because our defense this season is weaker so I think this season we can’t play for a 1- n at home and then play for a nil nil away because Bay lius are best better and because Us in defense were weaker so really the the the algorithm that we need to crack this year is scoring as many goals as possible and creating a a margin um to then try and defend and balance out in Germany because I think a one nil I would take because it’s a win and I would sign on a piece of paper to win on Thursday any win but it’s a very narrow win and in Germany they could easily easily and I mean easily capitulate around um so that’s it when it comes to by lusen obviously the one thing that pops up when you look at lusen H and why they are in the middle of this unbeaten streak why their name has gone from Bayer lusen to Bayer never losing is um is last minute goals injury time goals now Byer L are amazing but they’re also very lucky because one time round is luck two times round is luck when you do it six times in a football game you might be good at it but it’s absolute luck so that’s something which yes they’re good at but that is something that we need to learn our mistakes I learn to prevent so what is very important is to waste less time as possible even if you’re winning you need to waste less time less time possible because the less time you waste the less added times and B lus have scored all of those added time goals injury time goals because theyve scored in the 97th minute 7 Minutes of added time in the second half means that you’ve wasted time in the second half no don’t don’t waste time wa if if you’re is vour get the ball quick kick it away of don’t don’t make many substitutions because that’s going to count in in the added time so even if you win don’t waste time play your game the time will tell and um and just play your game don’t look at them be you be yourself be the best version of yourself without looking at them without having this Obsession of I need to beat them I need to uh I need to end their unbeaten cycle that’s very good when it comes to motivating and mentality but we shouldn’t be playing this game with a constant Obsession looking at them we need to play this game looking at ourselves knowing that we have the tools to beat them knowing that we have beaten them last year knowing that yes I’m not happy to have gotten them in the semi-final but I’m also aware that they are unhappy that they faced us and I know that the little [ __ ] celebrated when he when he when he saw that he was going to play ROM well there is a famous motto in Italian that says the guy who laughs last laughs best you only laugh and celebrate when you achieve something Cora will hit back and I’m convinced that bar isn’t happy to be facing us because yes they’re in a honeymoon right now but we’ve beaten them and we can beat them again and if they think that they can easily beat us Let It Be that’s going to be the Trap and that’s where we beat them and stick this off their ass so let them be convinced let them let all of the public opinion of world football go at by lusen and roma and go oh yeah Roma have got no chance let them do this let the team do this best team in Europe prove it win the Europa League beat us then you can celebrate as much as you want but I will never tolerate people who celebrate before beating us once the final whistle in the second leg goes Weak defenses can be the winning Factor we’ve seen this against Milan yes Lukaku might not be scoring goals in these games but Lukaku the only way they Mark Lukaku is by placing two players on Lukaku which means that if Lukaku gets morph by two players and then he moves away he leaves a gap in the middle and that’s where pigini that’s where dybala that’s where our Wingers infiltrate in and we score goals so having Lukaku back is massive for this game uh absolutely massive Smalling back is also massive pigini is going to be there there were news today of pigini being out because of a minor injury it’s not a minor injury it’s precaution you missed today’s training session because of a precaution he will be playing on Thursday um and as I said before again this is the game that can Mark history again this is a game that can that what US fans for so the players us fans at the stadium we will need to create the perfect atmosphere this is the game of Our Lives for the players for DOI imagine if deusi can present himself to managerial football beating somebody who has been unbeaten for the past 46 games this G this game is is is everything to fans players um and manager and I think that’s where fatigue is going to go out of the window because yes we’ll be tired but our mental strength is going to outweigh your physical strength or mental um capacities and her mental behavior is going to uh outd dominate their uh it’s going to outd dominate our our fatigue and our tiredness so play this game because yes by ever might be the favorites but I want to take my chances I want to play this game and then the result will be P at the end of Thursday and also at the end of next Thursday um at the end of the day people have got this image of B lusen being aliens B lusin aren’t aliens they are players like us and really there’s this I’m I’m part of me is convinced that we win on Thursday really it really would be um yeah and then the last thing just to pump a bit of confidence in your veins I read a stat today which shows that the last time Roma lost the European direct two-leg game at the stadi olympico was in 2016 2017 against Villa Royale where they lost 1 nil were unbeaten in Europe at home too in these past six years so Bayern lusen should fear us too we should fear them but they should fear us oh I’m so ready for Thursday I really am predicted 11 is this predicted 11 is this normal Lukaku back zor in goal 433 pigini pares christante El with dybala Lukaku Spina Anda manini and yente I do not want to see corop on the pitch because starting cars up on the pitch is like losing this game it’s like entering this game losing this this game because he doesn’t defend and Bayern Leverkusen or the team who have who’ve got the full backs and Wingers who’ve defends better than corop and that’s a fact so why on Earth would we start corop there is no need to start carop in this game there is no need to start Christensen in this game which I don’t think even can because he’s not on the UEFA list there is no need to start hoing on this game no get them out of this team as soon as possible and put your rente as fullback or if you really want to play with two real fullbacks put SP at Sola and angelinho and forget about corop but again angelinho is also very delicate when it comes to defending I think ente defends better and this game is all about
