Sometimes at the peak of my whips, I’ll get a little thrown off balance and push my feet in a weird way to correct it. I’ll end up doing half of a pedal crank and land with my back foot forward.
This doesn’t cause any issues, but I recently overheard someone say that purposely doing a pedal crank can whip the bike out more sideways. Does anyone have any insight on this?
This is a video of one of my whips without an extra pedal crank in the air. I’m about to start experimenting with pedaling to see if anything changes.

its all in the hips and shoulders. i find if i turn my bars and turn my shoulders to match, my hips automatically turn and throw the bike wayy out. like if i whip to the left ill crank to the right off the lip trying to point my front wheel back at the face of the lip whilst consciously trying to get my shoulders to turn to match. and i generally find whipping to the side of my dominant foot is easier, i lead with my left so i whip better to the left. i think the trailing foot has alot of authority on the bike compared to the lead foot.
